It is complete with painted steel buttons and original breast eagle, and has had a pair of Chief Machinist Botswain Oberfeldwebel shoulder straps added for display. The tunic retains its original paper manufacturer's label from "F.
This tunic in officer grade material features matching copper brown piped shoulder boards, brown piped white collar tabs, and a tresse bordered HG cufftitle.
The collar is bordered with white twistcord piping. The Luftwaffe aluminum flatwire eagle over the right breast pocket shows excellent detail. There are loops for a badge on the left breast pocket. The interior features the tailor's label Georg und Fritz Roder, Furth and shows light wear overall.
The tunic is lined with rayon. There is sewn a "D" ring through the lower left hip pocket from which a dagger would be suspended. All insignia matches each other and the tunic, and have clearly been made and applied by the tailor at the time of manufacture.
This lovely tunic also comes with a photo and document that we believe relate to the original owner, Franz Seider. The named photo does not show this particular tunic in wear- its not an HG tunic and the rank is one lower, but it does appear to be a signals branch uniform.
The document is a report of death post-war in a French hospital. As mentioned, these pieces were found together and could provide the basis of some rewarding research for someone with the time and connections! The collar tabs and eagle are originally machine sewn, and the tunic appears to be in basically unworn condition.
The markings are great and very clear, and include size markings in black and an unusual RF number stamped in white ink vertically along the button fly. The original buttons, S-rings, and belt hooks are present.Online interactive learning and reading activities for interactive whiteboards, computer labs, and students PreK–8.
